The Role

The Director, Information Technology (IT), Enterprise Applications leads the IT function responsible for architecture, implementation, development and operation of Enterprise and Business Applications across Audentes. The role leads a global team of internal technical resources, consultants, and managed services responsible for planning, implementation and support of multiple technology platforms including Oracle Fusion, HRIS, ADP, Veeva CRM/Vault, and integrations. This is a key leadership position that interacts directly with operational stakeholders to define core business activities, including requirements generation, system configuration, development, testing, and change control. This position requires the ability to build close working relationships with operational stakeholders and functional/technical support staff to facilitate a cooperative and productive working environment. The position will be located in our San Francisco headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team responsible for planning and managing all enterprise application projects, overseeing requirements gathering, business process mapping, system selection and all technical aspects of the implementation
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in managing deployments, monitoring, maintenance, development, integrations, upgrade, security and support of critical Enterprise Applications
  • Inspire, lead and grow the Enterprise Applications team. Foster a learning environment that encourages growth, accountability and positive culture
  • Partners with the counterparts within IT and the organization to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Leads and facilitates the evaluation/ recommendation of new technologies or capabilities that can be applied across the business
  • Manages vendor relationships; discussing issues, service agreements and directing the resolution of issues in a timely manner
  • Reviews current status of business system capabilities and prepares recommendations for system and process improvements
  • Provides architectural guidance and oversight across projects and technology platforms, and ensures guiding principles and technology standards are followed
  • Conducts ongoing research into industry and technology trends. Evaluates, summarizes and presents key trends with potential to impact IT capabilities
  • Partners with third party vendors to understand and plan for application technology roadmaps and support services
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, biomedical studies, science, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years' combined experience in software development, project management, process development and resource management as part of an IT Function
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and business partnering skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the business, business requirements analysis and IT processes
  • Success managing usage of platforms in support of Finance, Legal, and HR operations (ERP, Forecasting, HRIS, Applicant Tracking, Payroll and Timekeeping, Contract Management, E-Sign)
  • Proven experience managing a team responsible for usage and technical aspects of these applications (Oracle Fusion, HRIS, ADP, Veeva CRM/Vault)
  • Experience utilizing Cloud-Based integration platforms and tools (Workato, Mulesoft, OIC, etc)
  • Successful track record of utilizing vendor resources in support of solutions delivery and support services
  • Excels in a fast-paced team environment, meets deadlines, and prioritizes work from multiple projects
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience
  • Strong analytical and communication skills as well as sound judgment, and a history of working effectively with others

Preferred Qualifications

  • Success managing usage of CRM platforms supporting Commercial organizations
  • Success managing usage of platforms in support of Clinical Operations, Regulatory, and Program Management (EDC, eTMF, RegOps publishing, EDMS, and enterprise project management software)
